Y'know what game I miss?

Dragon Quest VIII.
That was a good game.
I know its not that old, but my PS2 is toasted, and most of the discs are scratched from wear and tear.

It was a fun game, but god damn was it repetitive, long, and difficult.

When I finally killed Doulmagus (or however you spell it) I was like "Huzzuh-.. Fuck.."
Bastard turns into a dragon thing, and gives you no time to recuperate, from the first battle.
Then you kill him and...
He gets away.. Or some shit.
So then you go to fucking Siberia, and find some chick and her marijuana garden in an ice cave.
Then that somehow leads you back to a pirate ghost in some cave under a bridge somewhere. I tried fighting him. Kills all four of my guys in a matter of six turns. Maybe less.
Fuck it.
That is about the time I put the controller down and said "I am done."
I think I went and fought those big fat demon things in that desert bone yard, but then once I got to the Pirate ghost I just stopped playing.

Leveling was way to hard. You always run into monsters that are way to weak to actually be effective, or way to strong to kill.
Or, if you're extremely lucky you get those liquid metal slimes on that hidden island. But they're hard to find, and usually run before you make a move.
Fuckers.
And lets not forget the Metal King Slimes. They were easy as hell to kill, but impossible to find, and impossible to hit, and always run.
Never got that hundred thousand EXP. or however much it was worth.
Even when I used Yangus and Hero's special attacks that could damage metal creatures easier.

I hate JRPG's, and yet, I love em.
